Arch of Soul Light
La Vela Khao Lak
OVERVIEW
A passage is usually somewhere between two places. Light gives this one a reason to become the destination.A site-specific laser installation running the length of a circulation passage at La Vela Khao Lak.
Lines of light trace the resort's landmark structures and carry three sets of symbols drawn from the environment around them — Life as a Wave, Line Shape Form, and Light of Zodiac. Colour and graphic shift as people move through, so the work is read in passing rather than from a fixed vantage point. The architecture supplies the geometry; the lasers agree to follow it.
Commissioned by La Vela Khao Lak, 2024. Artist: Kobored. With Bridge Art Agency. Shown nightly from sunset until 23:00.
