OVERVIEW
A building can remain standing for decades and still disappear from the life of a city.Projection inside the Phihalab Building, a brutalist block on South Sukhumvit reopened after decades standing empty.
Raw concrete is the worst surface projection can be handed. It absorbs light instead of returning it, it carries the mark of every year it stood unused, and it will not flatten into a screen no matter how much lumen you throw at it. So every image was built for that condition — high contrast, low detail, aligned to the pour lines and the formwork rather than laid across them. What an audience reads first is the building, and second the projection, which is the right order for a room being seen again after this long.

อาคารหนึ่งอาจยังยืนอยู่หลายสิบปี แต่หายไปจากชีวิตของเมืองได้เหมือนกันงานฉายภาพภายในอาคารพิหารลาภ ตึกบรูทัลลิสต์บนสุขุมวิทใต้ที่กลับมาเปิดอีกครั้งหลังยืนว่างเปล่ามาหลายสิบปี
คอนกรีตเปลือยคือพื้นผิวที่แย่ที่สุดที่งานฉายจะได้รับ มันดูดแสงแทนที่จะคืนกลับ มันแบกร่องรอยของทุกปีที่ถูกทิ้งไว้ และมันไม่ยอมแบนราบลงเป็นจอไม่ว่าจะยิงความสว่างใส่มากแค่ไหน ภาพทุกภาพจึงถูกสร้างขึ้นสำหรับเงื่อนไขนั้น คอนทราสต์สูง รายละเอียดน้อย และจัดเส้นให้ลงกับรอยเทคอนกรีตและรอยไม้แบบ แทนที่จะปูทับมันไป สิ่งที่คนดูอ่านได้ก่อนคือตัวอาคาร แล้วค่อยเป็นภาพฉาย ซึ่งเป็นลำดับที่ถูกต้องสำหรับห้องที่เพิ่งถูกมองเห็นอีกครั้งหลังเวลาผ่านไปขนาดนี้
