OVERVIEW
What begins to feel alive when sound, reflection and movement are allowed to answer one another?An installation of two motor-driven mirror sculptures, shown with Natural Distortion — a ten-minute site-specific mapping and live audiovisual performance built around them.
Mapping normally assumes a target that stays exactly where it was measured. Here the target rotates under its own power and the surface is mirrored, so the image is thrown, reflected and returned to the room at angles that never stop changing. What lands on the walls is not the source image but whatever the sculpture has done to it. No two runs are identical, which is why the piece has to be performed live rather than rendered and played back.

งานแมปปิงตามปกติตั้งอยู่บนสมมติฐานว่าเป้าจะอยู่ตรงที่เดิมกับตอนที่วัด แต่ที่นี่เป้าหมุนด้วยกำลังของตัวเองและพื้นผิวเป็นกระจก ภาพจึงถูกยิงออกไป สะท้อนกลับ และคืนเข้ามาในห้องด้วยมุมที่ไม่เคยหยุดเปลี่ยน สิ่งที่ไปตกบนผนังไม่ใช่ภาพต้นทาง แต่เป็นสิ่งที่ประติมากรรมทำกับมัน ไม่มีรอบไหนเหมือนกันสองครั้ง งานชิ้นนี้จึงต้องเล่นสด ไม่ใช่เรนเดอร์ไว้แล้วเปิดเล่น
