Burning City Bangkok

OVERVIEW
For three nights, a polished corner of Bangkok was asked to imagine its own collapse.Spatial and visual work for Burning City — three nights, four stages and more than sixty DJs spread across Baccarat Bangkok, Upper House and 24 Blvd on Sukhumvit 24.
The staging borrows a post-apocalyptic vocabulary: rust, salvage, exposed structure, surfaces that look used. All of it installed inside one of the most expensive addresses in the city, and struck three days later. Decay is expensive to build convincingly, and a luxury venue is the only setting that can afford to pay for it — which is most of what makes the image land.

การจัดฉากหยิบยืมชุดคำของโลกหลังหายนะ ทั้งสนิม ของเก็บตก โครงสร้างเปลือย และพื้นผิวที่ดูผ่านการใช้งาน ทั้งหมดถูกติดตั้งอยู่ในทำเลที่แพงที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของเมือง แล้วถูกรื้อออกในอีกสามวันถัดมา ความทรุดโทรมนั้นแพงมากถ้าจะสร้างให้ดูจริง และสถานที่ระดับหรูคือที่เดียวที่จ่ายไหว ซึ่งนั่นเองคือเหตุผลที่ภาพรวมของงานทำงานได้ และงานยังต้องคุมให้ทั้งสี่เวทีอ่านเป็นเมืองเดียวกัน ทั้งที่อยู่คนละอาคาร
