OVERVIEW
What happens when high jewellery is placed in the kind of room it is never meant to enter?A performance-based visual environment built for Cartier around the idea of a garage — oil, steel, work light and mechanical surfaces used as the setting for high jewellery.
The friction is the concept. Jewellery presentation is built on cleanliness almost by definition, and every material here argues against that: the pieces are shown in exactly the kind of room they would never be shown in. The scenography has to hold both registers at once, keeping the workshop legible as a workshop while the objects stay readable at the scale they are actually looked at, which is very close.

จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น เมื่อเครื่องประดับชั้นสูงถูกวางไว้ในห้องแบบที่มันไม่ควรจะเข้าไปอยู่สภาพแวดล้อมทางภาพแบบเพอร์ฟอร์แมนซ์ที่สร้างขึ้นให้ Cartier จากภาพของอู่ซ่อมรถ ทั้งคราบน้ำมัน เหล็ก ไฟช่าง และพื้นผิวเชิงกล ถูกใช้เป็นฉากของเครื่องประดับชั้นสูง
ความขัดกันคือแนวคิดของงาน การนำเสนอเครื่องประดับตั้งอยู่บนความสะอาดแทบจะโดยนิยาม และวัสดุทุกชิ้นที่นี่เถียงกับสิ่งนั้น ชิ้นงานถูกจัดแสดงในห้องแบบที่มันจะไม่มีวันถูกจัดแสดง งานออกแบบฉากจึงต้องถือทั้งสองระดับไว้พร้อมกัน ทำให้อู่ยังอ่านออกว่าเป็นอู่ ขณะที่ตัวเครื่องประดับยังอ่านออกในระยะที่คนมองมันจริงๆ ซึ่งเป็นระยะที่ใกล้มาก
