OVERVIEW
A shortcut is designed to save time. What happens when it gives people a reason to stay?Projection across a pedestrian bridge that the neighbourhood has used as a shortcut for generations.
A crossing is built to be left behind. Its entire function is to be walked off as fast as possible, and nothing about it invites anyone to stay. The work does not touch the structure; it changes how long a person spends on it. Image is laid along the length of the span so the walk itself sets the pace of viewing, and for a few minutes the bridge holds people for the duration of a piece rather than the duration of a crossing. A shortcut nobody photographs becomes somewhere to stand.

ทางลัดถูกสร้างมาเพื่อประหยัดเวลา แล้วจะเกิดอะไรขึ้นเมื่อมันทำให้คนอยากหยุดอยู่ต่องานฉายภาพตลอดแนวสะพานคนเดินที่ชุมชนโดยรอบใช้เป็นทางลัดกันมาหลายรุ่น
ทางข้ามถูกสร้างมาเพื่อให้คนเดินพ้นไป หน้าที่ทั้งหมดของมันคือการถูกเดินออกให้เร็วที่สุด และไม่มีอะไรในตัวมันที่ชวนให้ใครอยู่ต่อ งานชิ้นนี้ไม่ได้แตะต้องโครงสร้างเลย แต่เปลี่ยนเวลาที่คนหนึ่งคนใช้อยู่บนมัน ภาพถูกวางไปตามความยาวของช่วงสะพาน การเดินจึงกลายเป็นตัวกำหนดจังหวะการดู และชั่วไม่กี่นาที สะพานถือคนไว้ได้เท่ากับความยาวของงานหนึ่งชิ้น แทนที่จะเท่ากับเวลาข้ามฝั่ง ทางลัดที่ไม่เคยมีใครถ่ายรูป กลายเป็นที่ที่คนยืนอยู่
