The Legend All-Stars Orchestra Concert
Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra
OVERVIEW
When six familiar voices meet an orchestra, the light does not need to speak louder.Lighting design for a concert that puts six Thai legends in front of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.
An orchestra already fills a hall on its own, acoustically and spatially, so the lighting was built to yield to it. Luminous boundaries mark the edge of the playing area and stop there. No beams thrown over the players, no scenic movement cued to the score, nothing pulling the eye away from the people making the sound. The restraint is the design decision — the exact opposite of the festival rig a room this size usually receives.
Performed with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.
