OVERVIEW
A temporary structure for light, play and gathering.SAMUT CHEDI begins with the bell-shaped chedi and the cultural memory held by Phra Chedi Klang Nam in Rayong. Rather than reproducing its silhouette, the work carries that memory into a temporary inhabitable structure: scaffolding becomes both support and vocabulary, while light sets the rhythm, scale and atmosphere of the space.
The project extends an ongoing series of spatial experiments from object to environment. It holds a place for play, movement and gathering — an architectural proposition experienced through the body rather than viewed from a distance.
Its ambient sound work draws from the cloth-wrapping ceremony and floating pha pa offering around the full moon of the twelfth lunar month. Ceremonial music, riverside folk culture and natural sound remain as fragments: an atmosphere between ritual, water and collective presence.

โครงสร้างชั่วคราวสำหรับแสง การเล่น และการรวมตัวSAMUT CHEDI เริ่มจากรูปทรงเจดีย์ทรงระฆัง และความทรงจำทางวัฒนธรรมของพระเจดีย์กลางน้ำ จังหวัดระยอง แทนที่จะจำลองรูปร่างของเจดีย์ งานเลือกแปลความทรงจำนั้นให้กลายเป็นโครงสร้างชั่วคราวที่เข้าไปอยู่ได้ นั่งร้านจึงเป็นทั้งโครงสร้างรับน้ำหนักและภาษาหลักของงาน ขณะที่แสงสร้างจังหวะ สเกล และบรรยากาศร่วมของพื้นที่
โครงการนี้ต่อยอดการทดลองเชิงพื้นที่จากวัตถุไปสู่สภาพแวดล้อม เปิดพื้นที่ให้การเล่น การเคลื่อนไหว และการรวมตัวเกิดขึ้นผ่านร่างกาย ไม่ใช่เพียงการมองจากระยะไกล
งานเสียงหยิบเศษเสี้ยวจากพิธีห่มผ้าพระเจดีย์และการทอดผ้าป่าลอยน้ำในคืนวันเพ็ญเดือนสิบสอง ดนตรีพิธีกรรม วัฒนธรรมริมแม่น้ำ และเสียงธรรมชาติถูกวางไว้เป็นบรรยากาศระหว่างพิธีกรรม สายน้ำ และการอยู่ร่วมกัน
