TABU: A Form in Motion

OVERVIEW
A name, released from the surface and set in motion.TABU starts with the word itself. Rather than applying the name to an object, we pulled its letterforms into space: two pairs of mirrored acrylic planes meet at a single axis, each pair resolving into a loose T-shaped figure. The mark becomes structure, and the structure becomes an instrument for reflection.
Four panels — at 180 cm and 120 cm — are joined around a circular motorised base. Tube lights sit in the openings between the planes; a concealed power bank keeps the sculpture cordless. As the base turns, light passes through the work while its mirrored faces keep rearranging the room around it.
The construction is deliberately modular. Each section can separate from the whole and stand on its own, allowing the work to change scale and composition with the space it enters.

เมื่อชื่อหลุดออกจากพื้นผิว แล้วเริ่มเคลื่อนไหวTABU เริ่มจากชื่อ ไม่ใช่จากโลโก้ที่ต้องติดลงบนวัตถุ เราดึงรูปทรงของตัวอักษรออกมาสู่พื้นที่ ด้วยแผ่นอะคริลิกสะท้อนสี่แผ่นที่ประกบกันเป็นสองคู่ แต่ละคู่คลี่ออกเป็นรูปทรงคล้ายตัว T งานจึงไม่ได้ใช้ชื่อเป็นผิวหน้า แต่ให้ชื่อกลายเป็นโครงสร้างและเครื่องมือสำหรับสร้างเงาสะท้อน
แผ่นสูง 180 และ 120 เซนติเมตรถูกประกอบบนฐานหมุนทรงกลม Tube Light ซ่อนอยู่ในช่องระหว่างระนาบ ขณะที่พาวเวอร์แบงก์ถูกเก็บไว้ใต้ฐานเพื่อให้งานทำงานได้โดยไร้สาย เมื่อฐานค่อยๆ หมุน แสงลอดผ่านตัวงานและผิวสะท้อนก็จัดเรียงภาพของพื้นที่รอบตัวใหม่ไปพร้อมกัน
โครงสร้างถูกออกแบบให้แยกส่วนได้ แต่ละชิ้นจึงยืนได้ด้วยตัวเอง และเปิดให้งานเปลี่ยนสเกลหรือองค์ประกอบตามพื้นที่ที่เข้าไปอยู่
